I can only speak for myself in this situation--I just smile real big and take a big drink of lemonade any time something "good" happens in the game. It's great--you're just happy to be there.
I am a Rangers fan because I live in Texas. I am a Boston fan because I love the idea of that team--a perennial underdog who is now doing very well--also, Texas never gets into the playoffs (since the '70's, they are terrible), so it gets lonely later in the year unless you can find a good team to follow.
It was just so nice to be out and see the beautiful green field, enjoy the sunny day, and feel the excitement of the day...
