Breakfast this Morning

A cup of coffee and a fortune cookie...

Fortune: Be prepared to receive something special.

I'm ready! And, if I may say, it's about damned time.

Did you REALLY have a fortune cookie for breakfast?
Just curious.
I used to love breakfast - the big breakfast of eggs, home fries, toast, maybe grits (love 'em).
But now, it's more like a really good cup of coffee from the local cafe, and maybe a few bites of something.

Have you visited my blog lately?

Hi Jeannie:

Thanks for coming by!

Yes, I really did have a fortune cookie yesterday for breakfast. And I copied the fortune verbatim.

I'm really glad that my wife makes my kids a hot breakfast every morning--and she really isn't a morning person at all.

Hey Ghost! Thanks for coming by, buddy. Also, I appreciate your nice comment on my haiku. I would have used a different word than "towering" if I had thought about it more...That's a little trite.

Sorry I haven't kept in touch lately, buddy.

And, yes, I had a great day and got some nice, unexpected surprises (good ones).

PS. Homemade pumpkin pie is great--Do they have that in Malaysia? Sorry to be ignorant...

I'm sorry to tell you, buddy, but you're missing out! Pumpkin pie has a spicy taste--kind of hard to explain, but it's great stuff...especially with whipped cream on top.
